MDH are thrilled to introduce an exciting opportunity with our South Lanarkshire based logistics client to assume the role of, Head of Sales.
With a legacy spanning over three decades, our client has been at the forefront of providing innovative logistics and storage solutions to a diverse clientele spanning the UK, Europe, and global markets.
Your New Role
In collaboration with the Commercial Director, your role will encompass the entirety of our clients service spectrum, with a primary focus on their Pallet and Storage services. The position demands a nuanced approach, balancing the pursuit of new business opportunities with the establishment and oversight of an account management program. This program will be dedicated to customer retention, cross-sales, service quality, and relationship development.
You will lead a compact team responsible for sales administration, PR, quotations, marketing, and event preparation. Additionally, you will take charge of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring precision in customer information and reporting to facilitate insightful analysis of sales trends and opportunities.
As a Sales leader in the organization, you will also be the face of our client at pertinent industry networking events and trade fairs.

To thrive in this role, you must bring a wealth of new business development experience within the Logistics/Storage sector. We are seeking an individual with stellar communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership experience, and a comfort level in networking environments. Your drive to succeed, coupled with a natural acumen for uncovering opportunities, should align seamlessly with your organizational prowess in establishing a robust account management program for existing customers, thereby fostering growth from both new and existing channels.
